Director, Chief Operating Officer

Simon has more than 30 years’ experience in the private and public sectors. As the Chief Operating Officer at Solve, Simon works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the wheels greased on everything IT, HR, finance and process related. With a keen eye for numbers and data, Simon is the business brain behind Solve, though he has also been known to turn his hand to science from time to time!

Prior to his current role, Simon held senior leadership roles with LifeSaving Victoria, Victoria State Emergency Service, and the Mercy Health Foundation. Simon started his career in the field of civil engineering where he held roles in project and contract management on major infrastructure projects. Simon then moved into the Emergency Management sector based on his passion for supporting community outcomes.

Simon studied for a Bachelor of Engineering (with Honours) and an MBA from Melbourne Business School. Simon is the Chair of Samaritan House Geelong, which provides crisis accommodation to homeless men in the local community.

Simon is married with two children. In his spare time, he enjoys woodwork, running and playing golf. Simon also loves a good jigsaw puzzle on a rainy afternoon – or any afternoon really!
